Spring has sprung...
Just in the last 3 days the trees have turned green, the leaves growing so quickly you can almost see them! Our beautiful fig tree,

The pomegranate tree (bush?), Adam swore was dead,

and the sweet-peas in front of our house are all beautiful! The sweet peas are so strong smelling, if we leave the windows open we can smell them throughout our house. Other things that smell great right now are the citrus blossoms-it's amazing-it's almost too strong a scent, makes me feel a little sick.

The best part of Spring Break-no school, no bed time and plenty of playing in the mud! It's been so warm, playing in the water is a must! The boys went outside and were so quiet I had to find them. I was ready to yell at them for making a mess, but I guess the trees need water and what were they hurting anyway? So, I let them make mud pies and get all messy and they thought it was really fun to have to strip naked before they came in the house. They wanted to run around the back-yard naked for a while... okay, that's what spring break is all about (sorry no pictures ;-).

I had such great aspirations for Spring Break...museums, zoos, friends...then I got sick.

I think it's mostly allergies ( and then having to eat every five minutes to not feel like I'm going to throw up). I've never had them before, but I think it must be. My eyes itch, my throat itches, I cough and sneeze like crazy and my head is so congested I can barely hear anything. To top it all off I'm not suppose to take ANY medication during my first trimester...lovely! So I haven't really been feeling like myself lately.

It's been a really dull spring break for my kids. Tons of television and sleeping in. I didn't feel like doing anything all week.

But, the week is over and we are starting over. I'm determined to feel better (mind over matter you know) and I'm tired of feeling crappy so it's going to be a great week!

Happy spring to all of you!

Great pictures and descriptions, Bekki. I think sleeping in and TV make for an awesome spring break. You're just a big overachiever most of the time. And I love ya for it.
(((hugs))) and ~~~get well vibes~~~ and a giant CONGRATULATIONS on the impending arrival.
Les.

Great pictures! The smells - oh, I miss them. I could smell it all as you were describing it. Playing in the mud sounds fun too.

Work is overated. :)

I'm so jealous- of the weather that is! Not the joy of being sick and chubby and not being able to put your shoes on. Heehee! Gotta love it.a

Congratulations!!!! Oh, those days where life revolvs around food.... sometimes I miss it. :) I love muddy, wet, messy kids that have to be hosed off before they get a shower. Sometimes letting them do it makes me feel like they aren't missing out on all the parts of being a kid because of TV.
