When it rains, it pours...

and the baked Arizona earth doesn't absorb the water fast enough. Luckily there are retention basins built in our neighborhood to catch the water as it runs off. One of these is areas is the park just down the road.

A couple of weeks ago it really cut loose and rained for several days in a row. For a short time the streets were flooded and the washes were full of water, then they all emptied into the retention basins.

Dallin was hanging out with some friends one evening and I got a call asking if it was okay if he went boating with them at the park! AWESOME!

We stopped by to take some pics. If you look carefully you will see the tops of picnic tables and bbq grills.
