Super Saturday!

Today is a good example of one of my favorite Saturdays. Yard-saling with Leslie early in the morning while Adam gets up and mows the lawn and the kids do their chores. I bring home fun surprises for them (if they did their chores) then we finish up and have the rest of the day to play.

My favorite Saturdays include:
No big plans (or maybe ONE big thing like date night or something...)
Plenty of time for Adam to do little jobs around the house
Adam being in the mood to do little jobs around the house ;-)
Time for a nap
A clean house
A clean dog
The boys playing well together and entertaining themselves


Today the boys and I planted some flowers in a pot (Dallin got it stuck in his head that he wanted to plant flowers and he's been nagging me for two weeks), then while in the shed finding pots we found the swimming pool from 3 years ago when we went to Carpinteria. We used this pool as a "safe" area for Garrett to crawl around in on the beach to avoid too much sand. It still holds air and has now been a source of entertainment for an hour! I think putting it in the shade helped a little.
