Bountiful Baskets
My good friend Leslie turned me on to this fun food co-op. Twice a month I can order a basket online then have it brought to a drop off point not far from my house and I go pick it up! The fruit and veggies are enough to last my family for about two weeks and it's a surprise every time as to what is in the basket. I can also order through them some yummy bread at a discounted price, and other food stuffs for storage (honey, oil, grains, etc...).

This week I got: 2 enormous heads of lettuce, one big bunch of chard, zucchini, broccoli, celery, carrots, garlic, tomatoes, pineapple, apples, plums, oranges, lemons and two giant grapefruit that aren't really grapefruit...they are something different and I can't remember the name.
Last week: Bananas, apples, oranges, strawberries, blueberries, red onions, broccoli, gray squash, two heads of lettuce, cabbage, two bags of carrots and a giant bag of green beans
It's a lot of stuff for $15. www.bountifulbaskets.org

WOW! That sounds like a good idea! I'll have to check it out!
They're "oro blancos" and yeah, the surprise stuff is always interesting!
Les.
Can you find ways to use all that stuff? Looks yummy to me! And I here you are going to visit Fullmer baby #4 when he is born. I am so jealous! I wanna come! :-) That way I can hug on both babies...and rub their feet on my face.
Oh my word. I spelled the wrong kind of "hear" please correct it for me if you can. I'm not that dumb! Maybe I should proof read?
