Girl hair...makes me absolutely crazy!

Yes, I know. I'm a girl. I have hair. It doesn't mean I have to like it.

For so many years of my life I only had my girl hair to worry about.

But now I have a girl of my own and I have to worry about her hair!

Most of the time I don't because 1) it's a fight; a knock-down drag-out fight to get her hair brushed and in some semblance of order, and 2) thirty seconds after doing her hair it looks as if she just woke up.

Another reason I struggle with Maura's hair is I am seriously retarded when it comes to doing small things with my hands.

I'm an interpreter for goodness sakes, you would think I would be good with my hands! Nope, not me! When it comes to fine motor skills I am severely handicapped.

This summer my niece, Rae turned me on to this website.

The mom on this blog seriously has too much time on her hands. There is NO WAY I could ever do some of these awesome hairstyles. I just couldn't. It would never work. But, they are sooo cute!

So, in a desperate attempt to keep my daughter from looking homeless I attempted a few edited versions of princess hair styles. (Not such a great picture of the hair, but the smirk is totally worth the picture.)


It only took 10 minutes and I bribed her with a banana.


The best part was she slept in it for two days and I just kept recycling it. AWESOME!


The second one didn't work out as well. It was cute, but I'm not really good at the straight parts and symmetrical lines that make these hairstyles look amazing.

She also has really fine hair to work with and sits still about as long as a gnat with ADD.

BUT, at least she doesn't look homeless!
