Maura, Maura, Maura

(said in the annoying Brady Bunch nasal whine...)

Lately everything has been about Maura, so this post is dedicated to my #1 boy, Dallin!



This past week he got his Bear in scouts and advanced to Webelos.

It's been an exciting journey learning about scouting. Dallin has really enjoyed it. I've almost got the scouting program figured out...

Today this little guy turned 10 years old. When did he get so big?


His birthday always seems to sneak up on me. It's at the beginning of the month and always on General Conference weekend, so we have to plan a birthday party before or after the weekend.

This time we decided to do it before and did a little last-minute scrambling to invite some boys to a boy party.

We are so glad they were able to come at the last minute. I'm so glad Dallin has a good group of kids he can hang out with. They were super silly!



I made a volcano cake for him and it was a little too literal in my oven!

But it turned out really cool. "Better than your Sponge Bob cake!" said Dallin.

Complete with red lava on the inside.

After we sugared them all up, we took them to Polar Ice to do some ice-skating. It was a hit.

Yep, he's #1 in my book.
