Neighborhood Carnival

Every year our neighborhood has a carnival. Becky Rogers is the master-mind (masochist?) behind the whole thing. It happens on our street in the cul-de-sac just down the road. There is always a huge turn out and it's a ton of fun.

There are blow-up bouncy things, cotton candy (my favorite), sno-cones, ring toss, fishing booth, bean bag throw, basketball shoot, a train to ride, so many other games and a variety of food. The responsibilities get delegated to different people (mostly ward organizations, but it's still a neighborhood thing), and everyone comes in costumes and brings their families.

Garrett tried to win a live fish by bouncing a ping-pong ball into a bowl-he didn't quite make it (WHEW!)

I was to help with the ring toss game (in the background) and next to us was the fishing pond. Dallin and Garrett had fun helping once they ran out of tickets of their own. The boys earned their own money to spend at the carnival and I think they were more careful about what they spent because it was THEIR OWN money.

Adam was soooo entertaining as he was helping kids do the "fishing". He is such a crack-up! The adults had a great time just hanging around watching him interact with the kids.

It's such a fun tradition in our neighborhood-I'm so glad to live where we do!
