It's been a long time...

Wow! It's been a while since I sat down to think about what is going on in our lives... well, here goes:

I got a new computer!!! Well, new to me, old to Adam.

We swapped computers-I get to use the laptop that he has had for years to do all my fancy things on (word processing, email) and he gets the newer computer for his more technological stuff....makes sense to me. Much better than buying a new one for him! The only problem is that it's taking a little time for me to get everything swapped over and organized so I can find everything. Yes, I admit, I am a technological idiot!! Good thing I'm sleeping with tech support!

So, now that I'm a little more organized, I can catch up on all the fun things that are happening!!

Garrett is still loving school. We had a week there where he had an owie tummy and he didn't want to go to school and I was worried it was going to be a pattern, but the purchase of a new back-pack lifted his spirits.


Now, back to school as usual. I visited on Friday and got a good look at what they were doing and helped out. Garrett's teacher is very nice and he loves to participate. While I was there visiting he showed me around and told me the rules: "Mom, you raise your hand if you want to talk." "You have to sit on the carpet by your name". He was very excited to show me the ropes.

I met Mrs. Hathaway his speech therapist and love her! She is so positive and excited and has great games and activities. Garrett seems to like it! I've noticed he is more talkative, but not necessarily easier to understand, it will just take time. I'm willing to wait as I've heard as soon as he has accomplished all his IEP goals they will kick him out of the program.

He is quite the little singer and knows a lot of songs from his class and he's not embarrassed to sing for others. Hopefully this will continue for a while!

We sure do love our happy little blond!
