The holiday season is over and we have put all the decorations away. I'm always a little let down after all the excitement. It was so much fun while it lasted and it was super busy!
Christmas was terrific! We finally put a halt to the crazy renovations so we could clean the house and get ready for Santa to come and visit... and visit he did!
Grandpa Jonesy and Colleen were here to enjoy the festivities.
Maura got a "steering wheel" as she calls it and has already run it out of batteries going around and around the pool table.
Another favorite was an actual piggy bank from Ms. Christy!
Grandpa got a really special gift from Gina. Thousands of years ago (ha ha) he brought home a beautiful piece of silk from his mission in Korea. Gina found it in a box my mother had kept and made it into a really pretty quilt for him. He was in awe!
Yes, the requisite Christmas morning picture complete with bed head and tired eyes.
The whole gang.
One last gift we found was on our front door step. It was a pile of leaves and a treat with a note that says "Revenge is always Sweet." from the Ellsworth family.
Remember that "5" made of leaves on the lawn we found earlier? Well, this is the story...
At the ward Christmas party brother Ellsworth was saying how tired he was of raking all the leaves on his lawn his trees were bare and he didn't know where all the leaves were coming from. Well, pranksters Aaron Shaw and Adam decided they would 'help' him with his leaves. Late that night they raked the leaves from their own lawns and spread them across Bro. Ellsworth's lawn!
The word got out about who did it and thus we got the count down to Christmas in leaves on our lawn ending with the gift on the porch. How sweet it was!
