Trimming the tree...

Well, not by choice. We had a big storm last night. Not the worst we've seen, but lots of wind and rain with thunder and lightening. The kids woke up scared so we went outside to watch the rain and what did we see? Mother nature trimming our tree.


The branch that fell was a huge one! Luckily it didn't hit any cars or the house, but it did fall into the street and we had to drag it out of the way in the rain. (Well, my super strong hubby and two other men dragged it out of the street, I hugged my scared little kids and watched.)

This morning Mookie and I surveyed the damage. There are a lot of branches! It took two entire green barrels just to clear the sidewalk. We will just leave the rest until we have time to get a trailer and haul it away.


We keep thinking we should hire someone to come and chop the top big branches off the tree, but it's really expensive.

So, I guess we will just wait for Mother nature to do it for us!
