Off to the Derby...
the pine wood derby of course!

Saturday morning was the day of the big race! Adam and Dallin worked really hard making their cars and they looked super cool!

Adam's car is the black one...

and Dallin's is the red one.

They had a really good time racing them together.

Everyone was such great sports and cheered for each other.

During the boy scout derby they asked Adam to race "The Twinkie" (it's the car guaranteed to loose so no one has to be last-except the self confident man they ask to race it). Adam did an awesome job of making a big deal about being last and how everyone beat him. It was really fun.

Then came the 'serious' racing. After the scout derby the Elder's quorum (a group of men in our church) got to race their cars.

There were some serious discussions about how to make a car run faster, and some serious cheating, it's a fun tradition! Some cars put as many weights on as they had surface area and another car even had a battery operated fan!

It was a really good activity and a lot of fun for those who participated.
