After the visitor's center, we walked into downtown Jackson Hole. They have a square with a park in the middle and elk horn arches at each corner. Jackson never seems to change. They have the same little shops with t-shirts, cowboy attire, and trinkets. We went to a candy store to find some fudge but decided against the $10/lb price tag! My favorite thing to do is to wander through the art galleries. We didn't do much of that, gallery owners don't really approve of 12 children wandering through their store! I go back every few years and find nothing much has changed. It's a fun little town to walk through, but too expensive for me!.
We found a store just for Leslie!
Took pictures at the square,
and stopped to watch a traveling performing group. It was just a small performance, but it was nice to sit in the grass in the great weather.
It was a very gypsy-like performance.
While waiting for the alpine slide to open, we found a maze to run through!
The kids did the maze while the adults stood at the lookout and shouted directions. I think the kids would have been better off without all the extra help.
When the thunder and lightning passed, the alpine slide opened. We rode the chair lift to the top, then raced to the bottom. It was so fun! We ended the evening at the bar-J ranch for dinner and a cowboy show. The music was great and the kids had a fun time for a while, but by the end we were all ready to head home after a long day!
