Ahhh, Dirt.

I'm not sure when it was that dirt became exciting.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like ALL dirt, just the freshly tilled, rock free, ready to plant dirt that now fills my garden.

It took quite a while to get it to this point. After the spring garden died, I left everything to rot. I filled an entire green barrel with the decayed carcasses of the spring plants.

Then I had to pick out all the voluntary grass that decided to fill the garden spot, water the ground so it would be soft enough to work, and borrowed a tiller to use.

So, one full Saturday later, the garden is ready for planting. Now I just need to wait for the temperatures to fall below 110 degrees and I'm all set.

Now, what to plant in the garden...in the lovely dirt! I love dirt!

Did the tiller work for you? I have been meaning to call. It looks great and smells good to right. That is, it does till you add the fertilizer.

I'm loving the celery from my garden right now. You should try that if it'll work over there on the face of the sun. :)

Woo Hoo! I just got mine planned out (I think). Still wishy washy on exactly where I want to put it. Next Saturday we'll be digging so I better figure it out!

This lady lost her 1 year old daughter due to drowning. She has the same love and commitment to the Lord as you do.

Love the garden. Wish I knew how to make things grow. Hope you are having a good week.

What??!! You get to plant AGAIN? I guess I forgot that part about living in Arizona. I am jealous. Our garden is going strong but it will be done soon. It was 44 degrees this morning. It is not really still 110 there, right? You have to be kidding! Beautiful garden. Good luck and happy planting. Oh, Bryson wants to type you a msg: someday i will see you.
