3rd Grade, Here I come....

I almost forgot the traditional "first day of school" picture!! I had to run down the sidewalk (in my pj's no less) and call him to come back. It was worth it!

He is really excited to go to school this year. I think last year he was lonely, missing Garrett and he wasn't as excited. This year he is doing better. He jumped out of bed this morning and was dressed with his shoes on even before our morning scripture reading (that's a first). He said he was so excited he just wasn't hungry this morning, but I made him at least eat a bagel with juice.

He is excited to meet new friends, and be in a new classroom. Mrs. Montgomery seems to be a perfect teacher for him. I love her positive and enthusiastic personality.

Dallin seems to have grown so much this summer. He's gotten taller, but more than that he's become a little more confident in himself, more independent and responsible. He is enjoying reading and has improved in the last few months (I wish I could say the same for his writing).

I have both my fingers and toes crossed that this is a good year. Last year was a little rough, but I am hopeful that we've gotten past the most difficult part and this year is going to be great!

Dallin will love Mrs Montgomery. She was Carson's 6th grade teacher so tell her hi for us, if she even remembers us. She went down to 3rd grade and we were hoping that Maraih would get her but then we move, :(.

What a handsome boy! He does seem more mature. It's fun to watch him grow.
