Cruise days 5, 6 and 7...

I don't have any pictures from the last few days of our cruise. Don't worry, they weren't very exciting. Two of them were spent on the ship headed back to Florida, and the last was spent in various airports or planes. Not very picture worthy, and I was a little out of sorts.

Day 5 started off rocky as I woke in the middle of the night to hives all over my neck and my face and eyes red and puffy. I guessed I was allergic to the patch I was wearing so I took it off, swallowed a couple Benadryl and iced my neck. The rest of the day was spent alternating between ice and scratching. I have never before had anything that stung and itched so bad!

By the end of the day the Benadryl was working and I made it to dinner with everyone.

We had a couple of days with formal dinners. This was the second one. I was soooo glad a friend told me all about the fancy dinners and to pack nice clothes. She even loaned me this great black dress! I didn't feel too badly about going because the dress was beautiful, but you can see how puffy my face and neck still are! (Got this picture from my sister-in-law, thanks! I think...)

We had a nice dinner, a fun evening watching a show, then we turned in early.

Day 6 was met with rough seas and without the patch I was feeling rather green. I was still itchy and blotchy, but getting better and my face was mostly back to normal so I downed a few drammamine and slept most of the day away. Poor Adam, he spent a lot of both days in the cabin with me watching movies or napping. It was a very restful couple of days. We only went out a few times for food and a little bit of walking around the ship.

Day 7 was disembarkment (that's what they call it, but I think it's a made up word). We were up early, packed and off the boat to meet our shuttle at 7:30 (as we were told). Sadly, the rest of the people were not given the same information and we sat for 3 hours waiting for them to get off the ship! By the time we made it to the airport I was done with vacationing and ready to be home!!! Luckily we found an earlier flight and were able to head home rather quickly.

The final leg of the trip was rough with turbulence and again I was feeling a little green. It was so good to get home, hug my kids, my dad, find everything in good shape.

I had a great time! I'm so glad we had the chance to visit with Adam's family and spend some time together. I'm grateful for family and friends who took care of our kids so we could do it.
