Day Two: hiking heiroglyphic trail
We got a babysitter for Maura and went with cousins to do a fun 4 mile hike.
Aunt Jan, Kylan, Jill, (friend), and Dallin at the trailhead.
Getting ready to go...
Dallin and Kylan have such a fun time when they are together.
Kylan is a bit older than Garrett would have been and it makes me think about how much fun Garrett would have had with these two boys.
Dallin sure misses having a brother around to do these kinds of things with. Luckily, Kylan is a great friend!
When we got to the top the water was running and the boys took off their shoes to wade.
Kylan was the first to get wet (on accident) and has a bumped nose and moss on his shirt to show for it.
Of course Dallin couldn't resist the natural water slide.
We probably should have prepared for swimming.
Walking home was COLD with the nice wind. So we got rid of the extra wet clothing and turned his pants into shorts.
I just couldn't get over how green everything was!
The desert flowers were blooming, and it was beautiful!
We made it! Whew!
That afternoon Dallin's best buddy Jace came over to play and have a sleep over while Adam and I went to temple night.
Terrific day two!

Stay-cations are awesome...if you live in Mesa. Staying here...not so much. Maybe we should go to AZ for our next spring break!?!?!? NExt year...always next year!
