Day 1: Nassau, Bahamas

After a night of rough seas we arrived bright and early in Nassau. It was a bit cold and windy, but we had a busy day planned and didn't let that deter us!

We headed to the resort Atlantis, where we spent a couple of hours touring the island...




Then we headed to Dolphin Cay for a little one-on-one with Hercules.

We spent more than an hour swimming with him, having him push us on a boogie board, and learning about Dolphin Cay.

They have 35 dolphins in the lagoon 16 of which are from New Orleans and were rescued after their habitat was destroyed by Katrina.

It was a really fun adventure.

Then back to the ship for some much needed R&R with the first towel animal of the cruise.


It was a really fun first day and I was so grateful to have a patch to prevent me from getting sea sick. Even though it was a bumpy ride, it didn't bother me a bit.
