A Day to Document Disasters
Disaster #1: Some lovely soul brought us cookies! Unfortunately we were not home and they kindly left them on the front porch. Typically, this is a good place to leave them but as luck would have it, a monsoon unexpectedly dumped what I am assuming is a lot of rain right on the cookies!
They LOOKED delicious, but were swimming in rainwater. We couldn't even read the card and give them a proper thank-you. So here it is!
Thank you for the delicious (looking) cookies! We love cookies at our house. We feel special that you thought of us!
Disaster #2:
Often I find things in my washer that were inadvertently left in pockets. Usually rocks, erasers, money and one time I found a game-boy game (and it still works).
Sadly, yesterday I did NOT find something in my washer...I found it in the dryer. Can you guess what it was?
I was so sad/angry until I called Adam and he talked me off the ridge line of the roof where I was about to jump. "Look on the bright side" he said "now you can buy NEW clothes".
So, I've talked to Dallin and explained why it's bad to leave things in pockets and throw them in the laundry basket. He says he will try. Next time I want new clothes I guess I know what to do!
Disaster #3:
Mookie found the other half of the previously mentioned purple crayon and thought it might be tasty. I don't have pictures of the purple lips and tiny teeth because my immediate instinct is to grab her and rinse out her mouth-not grab the camera. I'll have to adjust my parenting style to fit my blogging need!
Hopefully that's the end of disasters for the week...they usually come in threes, right?

Ack!! I'm so sorry about all three! Especially the crayon. Ugh. But weren't you just saying you never buy new clothes? Great excuse!
Les.
Yeah no fun, and what a mess! I'm with you though on the parenting and I don't expect to see that change just for you blog... it would be a great picture though.
Ha ha ha ha ha! You are not the only mother to find Game Boy games and crayons in the dryer -- but it sure ticks you off just the same, though, huh? Although you are a lucky girl! Curt has never once suggested a shopping spree after crayon-clothes! Happy shopping!
Sorry about the cookies and the mess, but I will say this: crayons make for very fun diaper changes! Tate used to bite off all the tips and eat them.
Those look like Cindi cookies. She dropped some off at my house since it was my b-day and told me she had dropped some off at yours too!!
