Today I know our Heavenly Father watches out for us and answers our prayers.

I got an email early this morning from my dad. Usually he sends political email or silly jokes and rarely is he the bearer of bad news. Today was a different story.

Early this morning my dad had a knock on his door from the Sheriff looking for my cousin Cameron and his family. Their house was engulfed in flames and the fire department didn't know where the family was. Dad called my brother and his wife (who work with my cousin and are good friends) while racing to Cameron's house to see it ablaze. Once the fire died a little they only found one car in the garage but they still had no idea where the family was.

After frantic phone calls and searches involving the police in two states, they found the family-ALL OF THEM in Logan, Utah where they had gone to spend the weekend. This is the first time this summer someone had not been in their house for the weekend.

A neighbor reports that there was an explosion and immediately the home was engulfed in flames. They suspect a propane leak.

I am so grateful today for our prayers of "bless our family and keep them safe" being answered.

Whoa! How scary. Thank heavens they were all gone to Logan. Yeah...sometimes I think our prayers are a little too rote, but we really do want all our family to be kept safe, and who knows when it's really needed!
I hope you had a safe drive and are thoroughly enjoying your vacation!
